The Deering Artisan Goodtime Americana banjo features a 12 rim a scooped fingerboard for clawhammer playing and a Midnight Maple fingerboard. The 12 rim scooped fingerboard and renaissance head make this a fantastic old time banjo. The Midnight Maple fingerboard is a separate maple fingerboard that is pressure stained so that the stain penetrates all the way through the wood. This will not wear off like other staining processes that just stain the outer coat of the wood.

The Deering John Hartford Model Banjo was inspired by John’s love for steamboats and early American Banjos. The wooden tonering makes it several pounds lighter while still producing a crisp bright tone with a nice warm roundness. This Hartford has a big round tone that is full bodied with great bass and sweet highs. With the Grenadillo wood tone ring, it has a more woody tone but still retains great responsiveness, crispness, and ring. It’s just a wonderfully musical sounding banjo.
