In the afternoons after school, Capt. Mary Michael Bousson, President of Fairhope Rattle, would go fishing for redfish with her brothers in their 14 foot panga. They lost a lot of tackle - especially popping corks for redfish. One day while fishing their favorite redfish cove, a light bulb went off! Why not make corks themselves? Then theyd never run out! The kids pitched the idea to their parents and got their support. They started testing different materials and prototypes.
