This Black's Release clip is for a downrigger or kite line without the attaching bar. This release clip is designed to keep the line from fouling. The clip simply threads on the downrigger or kite line and held in position with a crimped sleeve, split shot, barrel swivel or even a simple knot in the line. The clip is made of tough nylon plastic, brass and stainless steel. Gives a clean release, has a release arm and a tension adjustment.
